About Guía
Empowering Financial Success
Guía Education and Consulting was founded in 2024 to fill a need in Kitsap County, WA. As a real estate professional, I learned that many residents in the immigrant community were misinformed about their rights to own a home and lacked the financial skills necessary to qualify for mortgages. I decided to create classes to clarify these misconceptions and share these skills. I found that the Hispanic community is hungry for information and resource access.
When working to connect my students with local resources, I found that service providers want to reach this population but sometimes lack the manpower or experience. That is when I decided to serve as the bridge between local organizations and the Hispanic community through tailored Spanish programming. Our virtual courses have been developed to reach students nationwide and are open to anyone wishing to learn about financial literacy.
Today, Guía Education and Consulting is proud to work in collaboration with a number of non-profit organizations, helping them share their services with this thriving community.
Meet the Founder
Hello and thank you for your interest in my work!
I am a licensed real estate professional in Washington state and founder of Guía Education and Consulting. I am an immigrant from Colombia who was brought to this country as a child and I'm proud to call the United States my home.
I hold an MS in City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BA in Public and Cultural Communication from the University of South Florida. Throughout my diverse professional background, I have utilized my education and leadership skills to strengthen communities.
I taught elementary education for over a decade, developed outreach strategies to serve diverse communities, and have provided city planning consulting services nationwide.
My family and I are currently stationed in Kitsap County, WA. In my free time, I love to explore the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest with my husband Stefan.
